Project Life: Week 29

Sunday: Since the Girl chews on her fingers so much we decided to get out this rattle with a squishy teething end. She loves it!

Monday: This is what we do.

Tuesday: I was really behind (like the beginning of May behind) on writing my journal cards for Project Life... Since I ordered new photos I decided to get the writing done so my book will be up to date when I get them in there.

Wednesday: Bevo loves his sister!

Thursday: The Handy Man brought me this donut from work today. They had these from Rod's and he saved me one. Too bad my nose was so stuffed up I really couldn't taste it.

Friday: We got the Girly's ears pierced today. She did really well and only cried a little bit. I think I was more nervous than she was.

Saturday: Nanny and Paw Paw's 25th Anniversary party was a success The hardest part was keeping it a secret. They sure were surprised.

Project Life: Week 28

Sunday: We were on our own since the rest of the family took a trip to NYC. We had a terrible time finding a pizza place that was open but it ended up being worth the trouble. We got the best thin crust pizza from the coolest little pizza place. It was like a real-life Dancing Zorbas!

Monday: We went up to the lodge after dinner. We were able to check out the view and even see what a room there looked like... There was a Keurig in each room!

Tuesday: We took a trip to the race track. When Nanny told us where the house was the first thing Handy said was that we had to visit the track. This is Grandma in victory lane with all of the great-grand kids that were on the trip.

Wednesday: I rode in the back seat with the Girly on the way home. She slept the first half of the trip and we played with Dolly during the second half... She cried the last 45 min.

Thursday: The Davis' are multiplying! Bevo's 3rd Davis showed up while we were on vacation. The pooch was super confused when I put them all on the floor.

Friday: Sometimes you just have days like this. Friday was one of those days.

Saturday: Nana put the Girly's hair up in piggy tails. She looked even cuter than usual but her porcupine hair still stuck up in the back.

Project Life: Week 27

Sunday: Poor Davis is losing his fluff... Poor Bevo can't play with his favorite toy. We went to the store to try and find him another one but they didn't have any so we had to order some online.

Monday: I'm pretty sure the holder on the eliptical wasn't designed to hold a baby monitor but it sure does the trick.

Tuesday: My kids love to sit on the sofa. Well pretty much everyone in our house loves to sit on the sofa. Bevo looks like a giant compared to the Girly.

Wednesday: Happy 4th of July! We went to Aunt Sharon's for a cook out and some swimming. The Girly had fun in the pool with all of her cousins. It was in the 90's so the pool was perfect.

Thursday: The Girly is 3 months old!

We didn't have a doctor's appointment this month but the bathroom scale is telling us she is a little over 12 lbs. She is still wearing 0-3 and 3 month clothes with a size 1 diaper. We took her on her first road trip and she has started smiling like crazy. She can scoot herself in a circle (she's usually upside down from how we put her in the crib when we get her up) and is really close to rolling over. She still drools like a faucet and thinks she is too cool to take afternoon naps.

Friday: After 7 hours and two stops to feed the girl we made it to the vacation house Nanny rented. We only had one baby meltdown and didn't get stuck in too much construction traffic.  Our room had the two windows on the left of the second story.

Saturday: We took so much stuff to the beach there was no room for the baby in the baby stroller! Our $10 sun shade was awesome. It opened to let the breeze through and I was able to close it and have some cover when the Girly decided she needed an afternoon snack.

Project Life: Week 26

Sunday: We left the Girly's Favorite Cousin's house after church. We had a good time visiting but had a long ride home and wanted to stop at the outlets. Hopefully we can go back and visit again in the fall.

Monday: It was actually cool enough to have the windows open! The breeze was wonderful but the cooler temps. didn't stick around very long. The a/c was back on by Wednesday.

Tuesday: We went to visit Nana for lunch. She was showing off her new tattoo with the Girly's name on it. She told us that she left room for brothers and sisters (hint, hint)

Wednesday: We started getting out some toys for the Girl to play with this week.  She seems to like this doll because it rattles. I think she really likes it because it has crazy rooster hair that sticks up like hers!

Thursday: Turkey clubs with avocado... A perfect summer supper!

Friday: We had an unexpected picnic in the basement thanks to the tornado sirens. We had lots of wind but the storm wasn't too bad.

Saturday: We moved into our house 4 years ago today! I can't believe it's been that long. Two new jobs, a dog, a wedding and a baby... I think we have been busy!

Project Life: Week 25

Sunday: Happy Father's Day! The Girly got Handy a tree but we haven't had enough rain so we aren't going to plant it until the fall.

Monday: Dear nearly 3 hour afternoon nap, I love you! You can come visit whenever you like. Love, the Lady

Tuesday: The Girly went swimming for the first time. She had fun but it made her sleepy.

Wednesday: Bevo really wanted Handy to throw a ball for him. He kept bringing them over and leaving them by the Man's side.

Thursday: The Girly is getting so big! She loves to sit propped up on the couch or in the chair. Sometimes she tips over but that doesn't seem to bother her much either.

Friday: We took a mini-trip to see how she does in the car. As long as we stopped every few hours for her to eat she did a great job.

Saturday: We went to visit some cousins on our trip. They all have daughters so we ended up with 6 girls under the age of 8 in the same room!

Project Life: Week 24

Sunday: The Girly wore the first dress we ever bought her to church on Sunday. We went straight to the store after we found out she was a girl and bought the outfit she wore home from the hospital and this dress with the flowers.

Monday: Bevo had another visit with the vet. Handy made to appointment before he knew he had to work 12 hours. Thank goodness the Dr. Pepper Queen came to stay with the Girl so I could take him. I would have had my hands full with both of them.

Tuesday: Someone was too cool to sleep on Monday... she was awake for almost 13 hours straight. Apparently she had to make up for that on Tuesday to the tune of 2 morning naps and another nap in the afternoon.

Wednesday: The Girly loves to drool. Our shirts almost always have wet spots after we hold her for awhile. If it's this bad now we are all going to end up wearing bibs when she starts teething.

Thursday: Happy Birthday Gram! The plan was to go out to lunch but someone had their fussy pants on so we ended up going through the drive-thru and eating at home.

Friday: Magical Mystery Mushroom pizza of the month + Handy's buy one, get one sodas = a really good dinner.

Saturday: Happy Birthday Mimster! (I have to get a picture for Saturday. By the time we got there it was dark and I didn't take any pictures)

Project Life: Week 23

Sunday: The Girly is finally fitting into her Longhorn onesie. Now I feel like she has to wear it all the time since she will grow out of it so quick... Hook 'em Horns!

Monday: Handy Manny got to be handy on Monday. I'm pretty sure the shower head is supposed to be in the shower... not in his hand in the kitchen. One trip to Lowes later and the new shower head is where it's supposed to be

Tuesday: The Girly is 2 months old!

Stats: 10 lbs 4 oz. 23 inches long (still in the 25th and 75th percentile for weight and length). We finally moved up to size 1 diapers. Her clothing is mainly 0-3 / 3 month size with newborn pants. She is sleeping 6 hours at night and (sometimes) takes 2-3 naps during the day. It's easier to get things done now that she eats every 2.5 - 3 hours.

She loves to go places. She sleeps in the car and is usually pleasant when we are shopping/visiting/eating. She had to get some shots at the doctor this month and screamed her head off when they poked her. She drools a lot and likes to leave wet spots on our clothes. We have taken her to church the last 3 weeks. The play mat with the blinking star is her favorite toy and she loves to smile.

Wednesday: I'm so glad it's grilling season! We had our first ears of corn on the cob. They were pretty good.

Thursday: This is what happens when I get to shop at Kohl's. I hadn't been there to shop for myself since the Girly was born. Of course I got things for her and Handy too.

Friday: The Peanut loves the new toy she got for her car seat. I love that it's an elephant and she loves that it jingles when it moves.

Saturday: We left the Girly with Nana for an hour and this is what we found when we got back. Apparently every girl needs their toenails painted for the summer... even if they happen to have the smallest toenails ever!
