PL 2013 - Week 7

Tuesday: The Girly's second front tooth is coming in so we are super thankful for all of the teethers we have stashed in the freezer. It gives us a few minutes with no fussing.

 Wednesday: The Girl colored Dada's valentine. This was the first time she used crayons. She did pretty well not eating them but she wanted to throw them more than color.

 Thursday: Happy Valentine's Day!

Friday: I have been trying to get the Girl's baby book done (which really means started). Every time I get it out she wants to see what I am doing. So far I have the pages about before she was born done. 

 Saturday: We went to visit Nanny and Paw Paw. When we got there we found out we weren't the only visitors. The Peanut had a great time playing with her cousins. They need to get used to having littles around since they will both be big brothers soon.

 Sunday: I'm pretty sure it's more fun to throw the toys all over the floor than it is to actually play with them. The sitter calls this age "the stage of dump" as in dump everything out of every container possible.

Monday: We went to Miss Carol's to work on the Girly's birthday invitations with meant play time with Timmy and Gab!

PL 2013 - Week 6

Tuesday: Happy 10 months Girly!

Stats: 18-ish lbs (just a guess), size 6-9 and 9 month clothes, size 3 diaper. Eating about every 2-3 hours and sleeping almost (half hour less than) through the night. She still takes 2 naps a day.

She loves when we play on the floor with her like a human jungle gym. She has been pulling up but not taking any steps on her own. She has 3 teeth (the second top one is almost through) and is eating more big girl food (applesauce, biscuits, crackers, roasted potatoes). She loves to feed herself cheerios. She can open cabinets and go up stairs. 

Wednesday: Napping for an hour an a half all day = a fussy baby. She screamed when we put her in the high chair so we ended up eating dinner on the floor. Some times you just have to do whatever it takes.

Thursday: We went to Dwight's book signing at church. There were so many people we spent 2 hours and 40 min.  waiting in line. We took the girl and she did pretty well our arms were exhausted after holding her for that long.

 Friday: Someone likes cheese-its. Da da was eating them and she got him to share with her.

 Saturday: Happy Birthday Camden! We took the Girl to her first kid birthday party. It was baseball themed so we dug out her Indians onesie. It was size 3-6 months and still fit her!

Sunday: This shape sorter basket has become the Peanut's favorite toy. She loves to open and close the door on the top and she smiles when it sings. I have heard the songs so many times I have them memorized.

Monday: Time to start working on the invitations for the Girly's first birthday. We didn't want to spend a ton of money so we decided to make them ourselves. I borrowed this paper cutter from school to trim them down. It was so much faster than scissors!

PL 2013 - Week 5

 Tuesday: A warm afternoon = taking this boy for his first strut of the year. The Girly had fun riding in her stroller too.

 Wednesday: I've been loving this dry erase calendar I made. I don't know what I like more. Keeping track of what we have going on or being able to look back at the month and see all the stuff we did.

 Thursday: Someone is starting to feed themselves... but only on bath night because it's exceptionally messy! Her favorites are puffs, o's and gerber cookies.

 Friday: We haven't had a diaper blow-out like this in months. Changing it took both of us and she ended up with an impromptu bath in the kitchen sink.

 Saturday: We went to see Jacob's team play in their tournament. He had 8 points an they won the game. They play again next week. Hopefully we will spend next Saturday watching them in the championship game.

Sunday: Super Bowl Party at Miss Carol's! She had fun playing with the Girly. We had fun eating all the good food.

Monday: Someone learned how to go up the stairs. We now get to keep a gate at the top and the bottom.

PL 2013 - Week 4

 Tuesday: Happy Birthday Grandma!

 Wednesday: Brrrrrrrr! It has been super cold the last few days. Yesterday and today we had 2 hour delays for the cold.

 Thursday: Cranky girl + things to do = doing chores like this.

 Friday: After all the cold we had a snow storm come through late morning on Friday. Handy didn't have to work and I had a 2 hour early dismissal. I found them watching the snow pile up when I got home.

 Saturday: We went to visit Nanny and Paw Paw on Saturday night. The Girly had fun playing after being stuck in her car seat most of the day while we shopped for her first birthday party.

 Sunday: The dishwasher is one of the Peanut's favorite things right now. She loves to pull up on the door when it's open. I hope she is always so excited to do the dishes.

Monday: This is what happens when you try to take the Girly's picture one time too many. She's still cute, even when she is crying.

PL 2013 - Week 3

 Tuesday: I'm knitting again! Thank goodness these scarves knit up quickly. Everybody I show them to either wants me to make them one or for me to show them how to make them.

Wednesday: Grilled PB and J for dinner! These sandwiches are one of my favorites. They always make me feel like a little kid again. 

Thursday: I had conferences until 8:30 so Handy had to take the daily picture. He snapped this one of the Girly playing with my camera bag. She has just recently learned how to get her body through the strap.

 Friday: Look who is standing on their own two feet! Exactly 1 month to the day she got out of the harness and she is already pulling up on to her feet. Yay Girly!

We took the Girl back to the doctor today. She was still coughing and was still not eating a lot. Dr. N says she has two ear infections. She is on her first antibiotic but doesn't seem to mind taking it. We go back in a month to have her ears checked again.

 Saturday: Happy Birthday Pappy!

 Sunday: Nana got the Girly this hat to cover up her ears in the cold. She looks pretty cute. She now has a hat wardrobe (4 and counting...)

Monday: Since the Peanut started pulling up on things we decided to get her some shoes. There weren't many choices and they even had to look in the back room to find these ones. Apparently size 3 is pretty popular... and very teeny tiny.

PL 2013 - Week 2

Tuesday: We finally got the Girly's new harness. This one is a little more restrictive than the Pavlik but she only has to wear it at night. We go back to Dr. A for another x-ray in April.

Wednesday: Someone is quickly becoming a pro at emptying their toy box. She pulls things out as fast as we can put them back in. I thought about leaving them all over the floor but half of the fun for her is getting them out of the box.

Thursday: The Girl has her first cold. We took her to the pediatrician for her 9 month well-check and he says it's just viral but she is still stuffed up and coughing a lot. We don't know if she picked it up from one of us or at the sitters. 

 Friday: Handy might need to be nominated for Husband of the Year... He came home with my favorite pizza! We could have eaten the whole thing but I put it in the fridge so we would have leftovers for lunch.

 Saturday: Happy 18th Birthday Kayla! We all got together for dinner at Papa Bear's. I hadn't eaten there in forever (like junior year of high school - forever) and it was better than I remembered. Handy had an Italian sub and I had linguini with clam sauce. The girl had sweet potatoes and puffs.

 Sunday: It was actually warm enough to open our windows in January! It was so nice to air the house out. Hopefully the fresh air will help us get rid of our sickness.

 Monday: Sweet Cheeks has been spending lots of time with Grams. She watched her all last week because the sitters kids were sick and came back today because our girl still had a fever.

PL 2013 - Week 1

Tuesday: New Years at Aunt Pat's house. We managed to get the littlest Davis cousins to sit still for a picture! They are 4, 3, 2 and 9 months. 

Wednesday: Baby in a basket. A laundry basket + some tupperware and pajamas = mama being able to wash dishes without chasing the Girl all over the kitchen.

 Thursday: Time to get my new Project Life binder ready to go. It's much easier to keep up with it during the year when all of the weekly cards and journaling cards are in the pages.
 

Friday: The Girly has a boyfriend!  This is the second time we have had these two together and they've already made it to first base. In fifteen years I'm pretty sure we won't be laughing and taking pictures when they do this!

 
Saturday: The Girl is 9 months old! Stats: 17 lbs. 13 oz. 27 inches long. She is between the 25th and 50th percentile for weight and height. She wears size 6-9 and 9 month clothes and a size 3 diaper. She eats every 4 hours and has 3 meals of solids a day. She still takes 2 naps and goes to bed by 8:30. 

She likes oatmeal cereal, bananas and carrots the best. She loves to feed herself puffs. Wooden blocks, books and the xylophone are her favorite baby toys, she prefers to play with Bevo's dog toys if given the choice. She is back into a harness for sleeping to make sure her hip stays positioned right. She is getting her top right front tooth and got her first cold.


 

Sunday: Miss Carol likes to spoil us. She made these awesome pillows on her embroidery machine for us for Christmas. She also made a ton of onesies for the Girl with really cute sayings on them.

Monday: Hooray for a 50% off coupon at Staples! I got some new pens for school for half price. I love that these ones have fun colors like pink, purple and green
