I know this is our first set of silverware but for some reason I don't think it should have those funky rust-like spots on it after a month of use. We haven't done anything other than eat with them but they are already looking dirty. Our stainless steel its looking not so stainless right now.

Do you wash them by hand or in the dishwasher?
If you use the dishwasher, does the package say if it's dishwasher safe? Sometimes even though they say "stainless steel" does not mean dishwasher safe (or may sometimes say not dishwasher recommended or something like that). That's just an idea to check out first, as I have lived and learned. You could try taking them back, but depends on if the store will let you return/exchange them and what the package says.
