from last week.
I didn't take as many as I wanted to because I was informed that you can't play monster trucks and hold a camera at the same time.

Finally... a chance to post
Between making, grading and taking tests I haven't had much time to take pictures. Hopefully that will change this week. We have a Pampered Chef party tonight and a Birthday party on Friday.
These are the last pictures I took from a wrestling match on the 11th. I have a lot of respect for sports photographers. It's harder than I looks. I had to delete the majority of my shots due to focus issues. These are the best I could get.

Winter Homecoming
It seems that I shouldn't be going to dances any more since I haven't been in high school for almost 8 years but that hasn't stopped us yet! I wasn't sure how fun it would be since I already had a long day before we even got there but I had a great time taking pictures.
Check out all the cute people!

Lots of Cuties!
It seems that I have had the opportunity to photograph lots of little kids lately. I went to a baby shower on Saturday that was loaded with sweet little ones and then some family came to visit, more precious faces. I love it though since I don't have any little kids of my own to take pictures of. I'm not sure how much they liked it but I had a great time!
Sweet Lauren.. we have to stop calling her "baby" since she is two and a half.
Miss V was the cutest thing I have ever seen! She wasn't too sure about my camera until I let her turn the lens.

Practice makes perfect!
I'm still working on using my new remote. It takes some practice for sure, but I love it since I can actually get into some of my own pictures. When people look back at them they will probably wonder what I looked like since I am always behind the camera instead of in front of it!
Getting the fur child to lay still and keep her eyes open was a challenge, but I had some success (and help getting her to look at the camera).
I have to try harder to hide the remote in my hand. Maybe I can learn to shoot it through my fingers or something.

New Year Goals
Since no one else I have talked to is going to make any New Years Resolutions I decided maybe I could come up with a few. I don't know how well I will do with them but it's better to try and fail than to not try at all. (That makes sense to me, I don't know if it will make sense to any one else?)
1. Be more patient at home (This will be tough since I use up all of my patience with the darn kids at work)
2. Take at least 1 picture a day.
3. Save for our wedding. (This goes with Richie's "get out and stay out of debt" plan
I decided to get my new camera remote out for the first time yesterday. My first attempt was so terrible I had to post it. It seems all I needed was a 4 year old to show me what to do since Anthony pushed the button for the second shot and it as much better. Richie even sat for one with me (since I didn't bug him with the camera even the smallest bit all day)
