PL 2013 - Week 33

Tuesday: Happy Birthday to the Lady! The Big 30 was celebrated with the smallest cake ever. It was red velvet from Litty's. Yum-o!

Wednesday: Two birthdays in the same week = lots of cards for our counter.

Thursday: Happy Birthday Handy!

Friday: I don't think she left any of the dirt outside! Dirty feet = fun times.

Saturday: Birthday cake #2.  Handy and I got to share this ice cream one. These are the best because they save in the freezer. We always have too much regular cake this time of the year. Good thing the Girly's birthday is in April.

Sunday: Cruzin' in the van with Grandma Fawver!

Monday: Bubby jumped up on the couch and scratched the heck out of Handy's leg. He said it hurt "a little", if it would have been my leg I would have been crying!

PL 2013 - Week 32

Tuesday: I had a blanket on the floor last weekend and noticed that the Girly was having a lot of fun with it so I decided to put down a "picnic" blanket. She is now obsessed with it and wants it on the floor everyday. She really loves when she has a "picnic" snack and doesn't have to sit in her high chair.

Wednesday: Me: Gracie smile so I can take your picture. The Girl: Um, no.

Thursday: I went to some garage sales with Miss Carol. I'm pretty sure we got almost every "Melmo" toy we saw.

Friday: Early birthday date with the Handy Man! We went up to the Westside Market in Cleveland. It was pretty cool. We ended up buying beef jerky (that Michael Simon said was "the best thing I ever ate"), canolis, a "Melmo" cupcake, basil, pepperoni break and gyros from Steve's Gyros (they were on Man vs. Food).

Saturday: Dinner at Max and Ermas! The Girly was getting teeth so it was a little of a struggle but the double chocolate chip cookies at the end made it worth it.

Sunday: Eva surprised me with an early birthday cake at the family reunion. She said 30 is kinda a big deal. I was really surprised.

Monday: We picked up these letters at a garage sale last week and the Girl is in love with them. Her favorite thing is to dump them out and put them back in the bag. She already knows "G" and we are going to start working on "E" next.

PL 2013 - Week 31

Tuesday: Gracie was super excited to find an "ow" on her steps. This one was even tame enough to let her come down and pet him. She was in kitty heaven!

Wednesday: The Girl hit her eye on the entertainment unit. It just scraped it and it didn't swell or turn black and blue. She was pretty tough and didn't even cry too much.

Thursday: 5:30 = Sesame Street. Every body has to watch Elmo and Abby.

Friday: We got some chubby crayons for the Girly last week and she has been having a good time coloring. We are working on only coloring on the paper.

Saturday: We went to visit Miss Carol and she showed us how to make these awesome hair bows. Handy made the majority of them. Apparently we can call him "Crafty" Manny too.

Sunday: After making all those bows Handy decided to make a hair bow holder for Gracie's room. We got fabric and ribbons to match her quilt and a frame. Handy did the rest and it looks great on her wall.

Monday: Happy 16 months Girly!

Stats: 21-ish lbs. Size 12 month clothes, size 3 diaper, size 4 shoes.

Favorites: Elmo, noodles, grapes, letters, bubbles, bath time, pushing the button to start the washer and dryer, necklaces and bracelets, books, curious George, Abby and "ows".

Says: pretzel, chip, Gigi, Mama, Dada, Bubby, Melmo, Abby, teeth, bubble, shoes, up, cup, bear, Nemo, "g", apple, more, hello, bye, "ow", Puff, baby, cupcake, bath, Gabby.

PL 2013 - Week 30

Tuesday: Playing with Puff is a hard job! The Girly was so tired after lunch with Grandma and Grandpa that she fell asleep in the car on the way home.

Wednesday: Thank goodness for cooler temperatures. I guess I'm not the only one who is excited to have the windows open again, Bubby likes it too.

Thursday: Let's Jam! I hadn't made freezer jam in two years but since Gracie likes PB & J I thought it might be a good idea to make some this year. My favorite part is still all the stirring.

Friday: My clutter mission has finally reached the basement. I started cleaning out binders of old school stuff that has been down there for 5 years. Someone loved playing in the pile of paper I made on the floor.

Saturday: The Girly is wearing her new clothes and reading the book Nana and Pappy brought her from their vacation. Hook em Horns!

Sunday: We went to a surprise party for Becky... and she sure was surprised! She was so fooled that she even brought food to her own party.

Monday: Hurricane Ella has been here. I'm not sure she will ever be asked to help put away laundry if this is how things end up. Hanging up things in the closet + a big bang = some broken glass, 2 re-organized drawers and an extra hour of cleaning.
