Sunday: Christmas in Avon Lake. I still can't believe we got both of these kids to sit still and look at the camera.
Monday: The Girly's first Christmas Eve. She looked super cute in her Christmas dress. We just bought it since she got out of the harness in time for Christmas.
Tuesday: The Girly's first Christmas. She was a pro at ripping the paper. I'm pretty sure next year things will be torn open in 1/10th of the amount of time it took her this year. She got lots of toys (half of which we put in her closet to get out later) an umbrella stroller and some clothes.
Wednesday: I'm pretty sure this is the biggest pile of recycling we have ever had.
Thursday: We took the girl out in the snow for the first time. She really seemed to like it until she tipped over and got stuck on her back.
Friday: Look who is eating puffs! She is getting really good at getting them into her mouth. We have been giving her some after lunch and dinner for dessert.
Saturday: Our last Christmas celebration. We got an ornament with our names on it and the Girl got a puppy outfit. She was ok with the train as long as they didn't turn it on. She cried when it was moving.
Sunday: We decided to try and keep the Girly from playing in Bevo's water dish with this gate. Neither of them were too impressed with the gate. It didn't last long after I hit my shin on the bar a few times.
Monday: Homemade Christmas tie-dye! We are wearing these the day before Christmas Break.
Tuesday: Look who is harness free!!! I'm not sure who is more excited... the Girly who can crawl all over or us who don't have to wrestle her in and out of it multiple times a day.
Wednesday: Only 6 days until Christmas. I think it's time we started to wrap up the mountain of gifts we have overtaking our guest room.
Thursday: Someone is really on the move! The knees of her pants have been so dirty the last few days.
Friday: Happy Birthday Bryce! Pizza and Chocolate chip cookie cake... sounds like a good way to spend a Friday night.
Saturday: Our first of 4 days of Christmas. The Girly had fun with the wrapping paper. I wasn't surprised after seeing what she does to any magazines within her reach. She got a teddy bear and a super cute book with her picture in it.
Sunday: I was asked to make a couple ruffle scarves for Christmas. You can see my progress and the reason I'm not finished yet both in this picture.
Monday: We were having trouble with the freezer so Handy decided to try and clean the coil. He had a little helper.
Tuesday: Christmas cards are almost ready to go in the mail. We got them on sale last January and put pictures of the girly inside. We sent almost 50 this year.
Wednesday: I think my mini-me is going to be a photographer too. She loves to play with my camera bag when it's on the floor. I have to make sure it's zipped up so she doesn't make too much of a mess.
Thursday: We went to our first wrestling match of the year. It was the last home match for Handy's coach before he retires. They had tons of his old wrestlers there as a surprise.
Friday: This is our new baby gate... necessity is the mother of invention.
Saturday: Christmas at Grandma's house with the cousins... look at all those shoes! All the cousins but 5 were able to make it this year. Lots of soup, lots of cookies lots of fun.
Week 48
Sunday: It's harness cleaning day! We got the ok to take the harness off to clean it last week. Washing it was the easy part. Getting it dry was a little harder. Between the heater vent and the hair dryer we got it done in about 2 hours.
Monday: Since we had an extra day of Thanksgiving break we scheduled a play date with one of my friends. There were 5 kids there, 4 of them under the age of 10 months. Poor Camden was the only boy!
Tuesday: Time to go back to work. I sure did enjoy my 5 day break. 4 more weeks until Christmas break... not that I'm counting or anything.
Wednesday: Handy got me a phone case like his. I didn't have a heavy duty case and was afraid I would drop my phone and break it. These ones claim you can take pictures underwater with them but I don't think we are brave enough to test that out.
Thursday: We picked up some jar baby food for the Girly on Black Friday and fed her some for dinner the first time this week. She slept like a rock. I was actually able to get 2 good nights of sleep before she hit another growth spurt.
Friday: Why yes, the dog's snowball and food dish are much more fun than all of the baby toys I have.
Saturday: This was the first Christmas tree we put up this year. I had seen some hot pink ones advertized and knew that one would look great in the Girly's room. We let her pick the bulbs that are going on it. She chose the pink, green, blue and purple ones over the sparkly silver.
Week 49
Sunday: If the Girly is in the kitchen she is either trying to play with Bevo's food and water dish or heading to the laundry room to play with the cans in the floor.
Monday: You know you use a lot of honey when you buy it by the half gallon. Handy has been making home made granola bars and it's one of the main ingredients.
Tuesday: 54 degrees on December 4th?!?!
Wednesday: Happy 8 months Girly!
Stats: 17-18-ish lbs (this is just our guess, no well check until next month), size 6 months and 6-9 months clothes. Size 3 diaper. She sleeps well but still wakes up once at night to eat and is eating 3 meals of solids a day. She usually takes 2 naps a day and goes to bed by 8:30.
Still in the harness but crawling anyway. Loves to play with Bevo's toys, mirrors and pretty much anything else we leave on the floor. Shakes her head no, says: ba-ba, da-da, ma-ma and something that sounds a lot like Ella. Will eat avocado, carrots, peaches and blueberries, still gags on green beans and meat.
Thursday: Sweet girl + Christmas lights = Way too much time being spent taking pictures!
Friday: Handy stopped by his favorite bakery at closing time and bought a "value box". That's code for 30 donuts for $4.00. He was a pretty happy guy.
Saturday: We went to see Jacob play basketball. His team won and the Girly had a good time watching the cheerleaders. I sense pom poms in our future.
Week 46
Sunday: We had a lunch to celebrate Great Grandma CJ's 70th birthday. The cake from Litty's was a hit. I got the corner piece that the Girly managed to spill red wine on and it was still yummy.
Monday: Meatball Sliders. Another recipe from Pinterest that was pretty good. These would be perfect to take to a party.
Tuesday: Time to break out the sweaters and corduroy. I am so excited to actually be able to wear my winter clothes this year and not be limited to cardigans and maternity shirts.
Wednesday: Of all the baby toys we have in this house the Girl decides to play with Bevo's ball. She makes a b-line for his toy box on a nightly basis. Good thing brother doesn't mind sharing.
Thursday: Handy surprised me with some awesome photo editing software. I had put Lightroom on my Christmas list but he found it for a good price and didn't want to make me wait. Too bad we found out our computer can't run it.
Friday: I had this Rockets t-shirt made for the Peanut. It claims to be a size 12 month but it barely fits our 6 month size wearing girl. I decided I better wear it on her quick and take a picture since it isn't going to fit for long.
Saturday: Time to clean Red Door! We have been so busy that the house work was pretty neglected. We decided to get busy and get everything done at once so we would have one less thing to do during the week.
Week 47
Sunday: Visiting Miss Carol = taking lots of great pictures. The lighting was awesome and the Girly was super happy to be out of her harness so we were able to get some really cute shots. Miss Carol has great props too.
Monday: A typical night. Toys everywhere and this kid right in the middle of it.
Tuesday: We got the turkey for Thanksgiving this year. I had to take it up early since it had to be in the oven before we would be there. Nothing like having a turkey riding shot gun!
Wednesday: The Girly was happy to play in the kitchen while we made our Thanksgiving dishes. We had to leave by 11 so everything was mixed up the night before.
Thursday: Happy Thanksgiving! love, Handy Manny, Mrs. G, Bevo and the Girly.
Friday: Black Friday was a success! We left after the Girly ate at 3:00 am. Most of the craziness was gone from the night before and we didn't have to deal with many crowds.
Saturday: After all the craziness of the last week we decided to take it easy. It was nice to have a lazy day at home.
Sunday: We had our first Thanksgiving / Christmas family dinner of the season. The meal was good and I had a great time playing Scatergories after dinner while the Girly took a nap.
Monday: The Girly is 7 months old!
Stats: 16-ish lbs (according to the bathroom scale) size 6 and 6-9 clothes and size 2 diaper. She is eating solid foods and likes squash, sweet potatoes, bananas, pears and apples. She still wakes up once during the night. Dr. A says the harness is working. She can sit by herself and likes to play with her stacking rings, remotes and empty bottles. She says ba-ba and da-da.
Tuesday: Shutterfly had a great deal on prints so I got 101 done for free. I hadn't printed any for Project Life since August! Now I just have to get caught up on journaling.
Wednesday: Auntie Kimmie came to visit. She was up north cleaning out her parents house and stopped by for dinner. The Girly liked having someone to hold her all night.
Wednesday: 5 hours of conferences = entirely too much time spent sitting at this desk. I'm not a fan of 13 hour days. I only had one conference but did get a lot of work done.
Friday: The good part about conferences was having the day off on Friday to spend with this kid. She was happy to get up and hang out at home. Too bad she didn't sleep in, 6:15 am wake up call!
Saturday: Handy made me breakfast for dinner. French toast with blackberry cream cheese and sausage. So yummy!
